Website Design Case Study: Transforming a AI Healthcare Website

Executive Summary

Atropos Health needed a website that matched its momentum and could serve multiple audiences—health systems, life sciences organizations, clinicians, and payers—without forcing everyone through the same generic funnel. We rebuilt the experience around clear user journeys: a solution-first pathway for visitors looking to solve a problem, and a product-first pathway for visitors who already knew what they were looking for. The result was a more dynamic, evidence-forward website with clearer messaging, stronger visual storytelling, and a scalable WordPress foundation with HubSpot integration for ongoing growth.

The Need

Atropos Health reached a point where its website no longer reflected what the company had become. Leadership wanted a digital presence that felt vibrant, sophisticated, and aligned with the company’s position in real-world evidence.

Because Atropos serves multiple audiences—health systems, life sciences organizations, and payers—each group needed a clear way to self-navigate to what mattered to them. The site also needed greater flexibility for updates and a modern look that better represented the brand in a competitive healthcare technology category.

The Challenge

This redesign wasn’t “make it prettier.” It required translating complex, technical concepts into a clear experience that worked for different stakeholders with different goals.

Multiple Audience Segments With Different Language and Intent

Clinicians, researchers, payers, and administrators don’t speak the same language—or look for the same proof. The site needed to support different decision paths without turning into a confusing choose-your-own-adventure.

Highly Technical Concepts Needed to Feel Understandable and Trustworthy

Atropos operates at the intersection of life sciences and data analytics. That meant the site had to communicate credibility and rigor while still being approachable—especially for visitors who don’t live in evidence-generation methodology every day.

Internal Alignment Across Stakeholders

A complex product and multiple audiences inevitably means multiple internal opinions. We needed a process that could handle stakeholder input without watering down the strategy or creating design-by-committee.

The Approach

We led with strategy and user journeys, then built the messaging and visuals to support those journeys.

Step 1: Build the Site Architecture Around Two Primary Pathways

We designed two primary ways through the site:

  • Solutions pathway: for visitors trying to solve a specific problem and needing to understand outcomes and use cases fast.

  • Products pathway: for visitors who already had awareness of Atropos and wanted to evaluate tools and technical detail.

This reduced friction immediately by matching navigation to buyer intent, instead of forcing everyone to start from the same “About/Product” dead end.

Step 2: Map Audience-Specific User Flows

Before development, we mapped user flows for each audience segment to ensure the experience worked in real scenarios. A hospital administrator needed to find outcomes research and impact quickly. A life sciences researcher needed to locate capabilities like clinical trial emulation without digging through irrelevant content.

Step 3: Create Two Content Frameworks to Match How Different Buyers Evaluate

We recommended two complementary page frameworks:

  • Data-focused framework for product pages: to highlight metrics, rigor, and evidence in a way technical evaluators expect.

  • Job-outcome framework for solution pages: to help visitors quickly see the problem, what changes, and why it matters.

This balanced technical depth with customer-centric clarity.

Step 4: Modernize Visual Storytelling and Brand Presence

We introduced a refreshed color palette and AI-generated graphics to replace a narrower, less engaging visual approach. The goal wasn’t “AI for AI’s sake.” It was to bring vitality and warmth to a category that often looks sterile—without losing credibility.

Our Work

We partnered closely with Atropos to create messaging frameworks tailored to distinct audiences and built an AI voice and style guide to keep content consistent across the site.

To clarify how real-world evidence is generated and how Atropos’s tools connect, we incorporated an interactive homepage diagram that visually ties the ecosystem together for health plans, providers, and life sciences teams.

We maintained open communication and clear milestones to accommodate input from a highly capable team while keeping the work moving forward. Interactive graphics, AI-inspired visuals, and intentional user flows helped translate complex technical material into a more human, understandable digital experience—without oversimplifying the science.

The Solution

Atropos Health’s new website delivers a cohesive narrative for how real-world evidence supports better healthcare decisions. The experience supports multiple audiences by leading with solutions aligned to their challenges, while still providing product-specific pages for deeper technical evaluation.

WordPress provides flexibility for ongoing updates and growth. HubSpot integration lays the foundation for lead capture, segmentation, and nurturing as the content ecosystem expands.

The refreshed design system, interactive graphics, and updated visual language create a stronger brand personality and help Atropos stand out in a competitive healthcare tech landscape.

The Results

The redesigned website gave Atropos a clearer, more solution-driven digital experience built for multiple stakeholders.

  • Visitors can now self-navigate based on intent through solution-based and product-based pathways.

  • The site better communicates Atropos’s advanced approach to real-world evidence through clearer frameworks and stronger visual storytelling.

  • The refreshed look and structure strengthened brand differentiation and supported thought leadership positioning in the real-world evidence category.

  • A scalable platform and integration foundation (WordPress + HubSpot) enables ongoing iteration, content growth, and lead capture.

What Changed and Why It Worked

Before, the site asked too many different audiences to interpret the same story on their own, with technical complexity creating friction instead of clarity.

After, the experience matches how real buyers think: “What problem are you solving for me?” or “Show me the product and proof.” That shift—strategy-led journeys, paired with evidence-forward content frameworks—made the site easier to navigate, easier to trust, and far more useful to the people Atropos actually sells to.
